Volunteer and Internships
The Well program is looking for volunteers for the following positions:
Looking for skilled interns to assist the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program with making phone calls outreaching and providing resources to families that are at-risk of child abuse. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Duties include: making initial as well as follow-up phone calls, using database to input notes, data entry, looking up various resources to provide to families. Training will be provided.
Teen Voices, Teen Choices Intern
Our Teen Voices, Teen Choices program is seeking interns interested in supporting staff with presentations focused on Teen Dating Violence and Teen Pregnancy Prevention. Interns will provide support with interactive activities during the presentations and will also have the opportunity to serve as panelists.
Outreach & Engagement
Volunteers/Interns will assist Outreach Specialists & Educators with implementing various outreach strategies in order to inform the community about Well program services; and also help plan and lead arts & crafts activities with children while at: health fairs, resource center fairs, anniversary celebrations, family festivals, and other community events. Interns will assist with making follow-up phone calls & emails to engage participants in need of various resources; ensure client linkages to services; researching various community resources tailored to client needs, and in closing of client cases.
